OUR SERVICE

1
FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR GROWING SWEET POTATOES
Checking the feasibility of growing sweet potatoes in regions where the crop is not yet grown.
Service includes: visit to the site and review of the various conditions relevant to the possibility of growing sweet potatoes. The review comprises soil type analysis, meteorological conditions, water sources in the region, examination of approach routes, technological facilities availability, and pest and weed survey. This process ends with the presentation of a report, summarizing the findings and submitting recommendations for future actions.
2
ACCOMPANYING THE GROWING PROCESS
Consulting, supporting and guiding growers during the whole growing period, including providing guidance for soil cultivation and preparation for planting, instructions for planting, irrigation, fertilization, weed and pest control.
Guidance includes providing answers and ongoing instructions for implementation by email during the whole growth period and in addition – one field visit in the middle of the growing period to review progress and make necessary adjustments.
3
ADVICE ON HARVEST AND POST-HARVEST PROCESSES
Guiding and accompanying growers during harvest and post-harvest processes, including:
preparing the field for harvest, digging the sweet potatoes out, transporting the produce to the packing house, curing, cold storage and/or grading, packaging and marketing.
4
Counselling in planning of post-harvest facilities
Counselling regarding packing house and grading line establishment.
The packing house and sorting system should match the target market requirements; when the sweet potatoes crop is intended for local markets, there is no need for sophisticated and expensive sorting systems. However, to market sweet potatoes to export markets, the grower must meet the required quality standards and therefore an advanced sorting system and packing machines are a must.
