SOIL PREPARATION

Preparing the soil includes plowing, soil crumbling, bed marking, base dressing if nutrient deficits dictate it, and ridge preparation.

It is recommended to spread, if possible, 30-50 m3 composted cattle-manure per hectare before plowing.

Soil tillage should be done when the soil is moist, not dry nor too muddy, so that plowing and crumbling are easier and their results are better, and in order to get at the end well-built ridges, with crumbled and aeriated soil.
